Career Summary

Wally Sauthoff joined NAI Pfefferle in 2024 as a Partner/Managing Director for the Milwaukee office, where he coaches and mentors a team of brokers, conducts recruiting and strategic planning, and assists with brokerage transactions. He specializes in office and retail properties throughout the Milwaukee area, and enjoys collaborating with high-quality individuals to provide creative, effective solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs, generating proven value and results-driven outcomes.

Most recently, Wally returned to his alma mater, joining the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee’s Lubar College of Business as an Adjunct Professor, where he teaches real estate finance and asset management. It’s a full-circle role for him, as he earned his own bachelor’s degree in real estate from the university, and he now shares decades of real-world business, leadership, and entrepreneurship experience with students, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application.

Wally has spent more than 30 years in the commercial real estate industry. Early in his career, he focused on property management, first overseeing a corporate REO portfolio of 32 commercial properties. He then moved to another company, where he managed and leased more than 2 million square feet of commercial space across 26 properties, in addition to overseeing more than 450 apartment units.

As he continued his career, Wally shifted his focus to serve as the Wisconsin Area Developer for Sport Clips Haircuts. He led the brand’s expansion throughout the state by recruiting and supporting franchise owners, conducting site selection and market analysis, and overseeing store planning for new locations. He was also actively involved in lease negotiations and construction oversight.

From there, Wally moved into a Managing Director role leading the commercial brokerage division of another local commercial real estate firm, before joining NAI Greywolf, the brokerage arm of Greywolf Partners, as Managing Director. He was later named President of Greywolf Partners, overseeing day-to-day operations across the company’s divisions, a role he held before joining NAI Pfefferle in 2024.
